A Whitewater Republican is planning to retire from the Wisconsin Legislature.
Senator Steve Nass said this week he will not seek reelection and will end his political career once his term is completed at the end of the year.
Sen. Nass has served in the State Legislature since 1990, when he was first elected to the assembly.
He switched chambers after winning the race for state senate in the 11th District.
Sen. Nass was born and raised in Whitewater, later serving in the Wisconsin National Guard for more than three decades.
