Improvements are happening at a Sheboygan hospital.
WHBL reports that the Women and Infants Center at HSHS St. Nicholas is undergoing a $5.5 million renovation that will include modernized labor and delivery rooms, a tub room for labor, a new nursery, and an improved nurse station.
The hospital says throughout construction, “patients can expect the same quality and compassionate care they have come to know and trust.”
Some of the project’s funding comes from $1.7 million in donations to the HSHS St. Nicholas Foundation in 2023 and 2024.
$1.1 million of that money will be supplemented with a $4.4 million strategic investment by HSHS for the renovation.
The project will be done in three phases and should be completed in July.
The Women and Infants Center will remain fully operational during the update.
