Some Manitowoc companies will benefit again from a Wisconsin DOT program.
Burger Boat Company and City Centre LLC will again get funding from the Wisconsin Harbor Assistance Program for maintenance and construction projects.
Over $1.3 million for Burger Boat will be used to dredge along an existing dock wall and launch well, expanding capacity and helping launches for newly built large vessels.
City Centre LLC is getting $2 million to construct a crane platform and loadout ramp for assembling, testing, and transferring cranes designed by Konecranes onto barges for shipment.
The Port of Green Bay will also get funding for dredging at the mouth of the Lower Fox River.
Other companies in Sturgeon Bay, Marinette, and Milwaukee will also get a share of $7.5 million in Harbor Assistance Program grants.
Since the program began in 1979, 159 grants have been awarded, totaling about $231 million in assistance.
