A regional film production company from our area has launched a new program to support independent filmmakers.
The Belladonna Film Project has announced the creation of the Wisconsin Filmmakers Exchange (WFE), a networking tool for filmmakers and enthusiasts alike.
Beah Travis, Belladonna’s Executive Director, says that the WFE is something they and their team have been dreaming about for years, while explaining, “We will build WFE to help filmmakers of all experience levels come together and improve their craft. Members will exchange ideas, support, resources, and inspiration.”
Rick Grant, formally of the Madison Indie Filmmakers group and now the owner of RGA Public Relations in Sheboygan, will serve as the facilitator of WFE.
Travis, an accomplished director and producer in film, television, and advertising, received the Best Director award at the MKE International Short Film Fest for their most recent work entitled Ten.
Belladonna was also responsible for launching the inaugural Sheboygan Film Festival in 2025, and plans to turn it into an annual event with collaboration from WFE.
WFE will hold its first-ever meeting on February 6th at Paradigm Coffee and Music in Sheboygan in conjunction with the first film in Belladonna’s Glow Winter Film Series.
