A suspect in a deadly Sheboygan shooting has been taken into custody.
In an update, the Sheboygan Police Department says the 18-year-old from Milwaukee was arrested in connection with the incident through coordinated law enforcement efforts.
Charges will be referred to the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s Office.
The department also explains that the 18-year-old female victim in the shooting is recovering from her injuries, and the investigation remains active and ongoing as officers continue to follow up on all aspects of the case.
Sheboygan Police officers were called to the 1300 block of S. 10th Street for the shooting on January 17th.
The 18-year-old female and a 19-year-old male both sustained gunshot wounds, but the male’s wounds ended up being fatal, and he was pronounced dead at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan.
