Court hearings have been delayed in a Sheboygan Falls murder case.
Court records show that a status conference was held earlier this week regarding 36-year-old Luis Cruz Burgos, who faces one count of First-Degree Reckless Homicide.
At that hearing held on Tuesday (January 20th) it was revealed that Attorney Christina Petros, legal counsel for Cruz Burgos, has requested to push back the status conference multiple months.
This request was asked for as large amounts of discovery in the case are still coming in or are yet to be received.
For this reason, the court has granted the request to delay the status conference.
The 36-year-old was arrested and charged in the killing of 32-year-old Canadian Giovanni Michael Robinson on September 24th.
Robinson was shot and killed in the 600 block of Monroe Street in Sheboygan Falls by a person inside a vehicle, alleged to be Cruz Burgos.
Cruz Burgos will now return to court on March 17th for his rescheduled status conference.
