Sheboygan is still looking to hear from residents regarding the future of transportation in the city.
Late last year, the City hosted a community meeting at the YMCA, gathering input from residents on the Transportation Safety Action Plan.
At this meeting, they focused on making city streets and pathways safer via reducing fatalities and other severe injuries in accidents.
Those in attendance were able to share comments, questions, concerns, and recommendations via votes on preferred bike and pedestrian facilities, reviews of existing traffic and safety data, and an exploration of potential street improvements to support safer travel.
Following the meeting, those not in attendance also have the opportunity to voice their opinions by taking the Transportation Safety Action Plan survey.
The survey can be found by visiting the link on the City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works Facebook page.
The City will be accepting survey submissions until January 30th, and those looking for updates on the Transportation Safety Action Plan can find them on the project website.
