The Manitowoc County Boys and Girls Club has received a major donation.
Tim Ahrens, Exalted Ruler of the Manitowoc Elks Lodge #687, tells SeehaferNews.com that they recently made a $2,000 donation to the Boys and Girls Club over the holidays.
On December 29th, Ahrens and others at the Elks Lodge visited with the children of the Boys and Girls Club to play games, read to them, and serve sloppy joes for lunch.
Regarding their visit, Ahrens said, “You can see it in the kids’ faces and their smiles on how much they enjoy their time at the Boys and Girls club.”
The donation from the Elks Lodge will help ensure the kids of the Manitowoc County Boys and Girls Club receive meals, along with paying for some of the buses that pick up the children from school.
