Although there was no Lakeshore Holiday Christmas Parade in 2025, Visit Manitowoc still awarded those who built great floats.
This year’s judges pivoted after the parade cancellations and picked three entries from submitted photos for Holiday Spirit, five for Judges’ Choice, and one for Best of Parade.
The Best of Parade and host of Santa next year is the United States Postal Service, which encouraged children to write letters to Santa Claus and would have collected them during the parade.
The five winners for Judge’s Choice awards were Carpets Plus, Manitowoc Public Utilities, Jerry Bauer, Manitowoc Lutheran High School, and Skana Aluminum.
The three winners of the Holiday Spirit Award went to Alliance Laundry Service, HomeCare Health Services, and Lakeside Foods.
The awards were handed out during Monday’s (January 19th) city council meeting.
Visit Manitowoc Executive Director Courtney Hansen told the city council that her department is looking forward to this year’s parade, hoping for better weather.
