A former athlete from Marquette University is facing multiple child sex crime charges.
According to court records, William Waterstradt was charged last week in Langlade County with 12 felony counts.
These charges include sexual assault and indecent exposure involving a child.
The criminal complaint states the victim was 13 years old.
Investigators say Waterstradt sent text messages last year claiming he was 17, though he is now 21.
He does not appear on Marquette’s current track and field roster.
