A Manitowoc man who was arrested following an inappropriate incident with a child is still without legal representation.
Court records show that 32-year-old Raymond Wynne was back in court for his initial appearance on Thursday (January 15th) as he faces one count of Disorderly Conduct.
At that hearing, it was revealed that Wynn is still awaiting the appointment of legal counsel through the Public Defender Program.
Despite being without a lawyer, the 32-year-old still entered a not guilty plea to the one charge he faces after being arrested last Monday (January 12th) at the Manitowoc Public Library.
Wynne was arrested after approaching a child at the library and asking them how old they were before asking if they “would like to lose their virginity.”
When approached by police, Wynne admitted to asking them their age but denied ever asking the child if they wanted to lose their virginity.
He will return to court on February 27th for further proceedings before a scheduling conference set for April 16th.
Until then, Wynne remains in custody at the Manitowoc County Jail on a $500 cash bail.
