A De Pere man is going to prison for a 2023 sexual assault of a child.
22-year-old Melvin Londo was found guilty due to no contest pleas on three counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, while three counts of 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault with a Person Under 16 with Use or Threat of Force or Violence and one count of Strangulation and Suffocation were dismissed but read into the record.
WBAY reports that Judge Timothy Hinkfuss ordered Londo to spend 12 years in prison followed by 7 years of extended supervision.
Londo was arrested in April 2023 after meeting the teen at the mall and taking her to his car.
They drank alcohol and then went to a movie theater, where authorities say he kissed and touched the teenager.
He then took the teen home to perform sex acts before she was dropped off at the mall the next day to be reunited with friends.
