Students at Kiel Middle School got a special visit to learn about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
Kiel Police Officer Mike Golbach helped students complete an 8th-grade health class unit on alcohol, tobacco, and drugs by supervising special activities and answering students’ questions.
Topics covered during his visit included vaping, alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, other drugs, impairment, addiction, safety, and financial implications.
Students also got to use what are called drunk goggles, which show how alcohol impacts their movements and reaction time.
Kiel Middle School thanked Officer Golbach for his time teaching the kids.
