A Menasha Police Officer arrested on stalking charges is due in court next week.
Court documents show that 31-year-old Cristian Morales will be back inside an Outagamie County courtroom on Tuesday (January 20th) for his preliminary hearing.
While authorities in Menasha and Appleton Police jointly announced he was charged with Stalking, Morales has now been formally charged with one felony count of Misconduct/Office-Act/Excess Authority.
In that initial announcement, the Appleton Police Department stated that they opened their investigation into the 31-year-old back in October, which ultimately led to his arrest on January 7th.
FOX11 reports that Morales used the Flock camera systems to track his ex-girlfriend’s location five separate times in October of 2025.
After his arrest, the Menasha Police Department placed Morales on administrative leave.
In a separate filing, court records also show that a civil domestic abuse restraining order was filed against Morales on January 8th, one day prior to his felony charge being filed.
Until his preliminary hearing, Morales is free on $10,000 cash bail, which he furnished on Monday (January 12th).
