Far fewer people in Manitowoc needed help from a police officer at the end of 2025.
In their monthly report, the Manitowoc Police Department reported 28,561 calls for service in 2025, down from 31,061 in 2024.
In December, calls for service were down slightly, from 2,775 in 2024 to 2,771 last month.
The number of accidents was also down compared to 2024, but slightly higher than in 2023.
There were 1,068 total accidents reported last year, compared to 1,098 in 2024.
However, there were only 1,066 reported accidents in 2023.
One area that increased in 2025 was adult criminal charges.
In 2025, there were 3,083 adults charged year to date, compared to just 1,899 in 2024.
One area that saw a big drop was juvenile criminal charges.
In 2025, only 82 juveniles were charged, compared to 233 in 2024.
Other areas that saw fewer reports were traffic citations, ordinance citations, and field warnings.
