The Winneconne Police Department made a recent drug arrest.
An officer pulled over a suspect’s vehicle on E. Main Street last Thursday (January 8th) after finding that the male had an active warrant out for his arrest.
The suspect, whose name and age were not released, was arrested, and a passenger was detained on probable cause so officers could search for the vehicle.
As a result, cocaine, ketamine, psilocybin, marijuana products, other drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of US currency were seized for evidentiary purposes.
The two claimed they were headed to Chicago to hand out pamphlets for a work function.
The suspect and his passenger were taken to the Winnebago County Jail, and the charges were referred to the District Attorney’s Office.
Winneconne Police also remind the public that if they see something, they should say something.
