The City of Two Rivers will be getting a new resource to help save people from a drug overdose.
On Tuesday’s episode of WOMT’s Be My Guest program, Two Rivers Fire Chief Dave Murack explained that the department will be getting their own Narcan vending machine.
The Fire Chief says, “It will be located on the 22nd Street side of our fire station.”
The machine, like one in Manitowoc, will have Narcan and fentanyl testing strips available for people who feel the need to carry them.
Narcan is the drug that can reverse a drug overdose.
There is a Narcan Vending Machine in Manitowoc at the offices of the Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health and Education Center (NEWAHEC) on York Street.
