Students from Madison West and Madison East high schools staged a walkout to protest the fatal shooting of a Minneapolis resident by an ICE agent.
The students left campus yesterday and gathered for a rally at the State Capitol.
The demonstration centers on the killing of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good.
Good, an American citizen, was shot while inside her vehicle last week during an immigration enforcement operation.
District officials say the Madison School District did not organize or sponsor the protest.
