A nonprofit in Sheboygan County will be celebrating the launch of a new program next week.
The United Way of Sheboygan County will be hosting a launch party for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library from January 19th through the 21st at their office located at 2020 Erie Avenue.
The celebrations on the 19th and 21st will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., while events will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the 20th.
At this time, the Imagination Library will only be offered to children five years or younger living in the 53081 zip code.
The celebration will kick off on Parton’s Birthday, allowing parents or guardians to sign up their children in person for the program.
Those who do sign up in person will receive a book for their child, free of charge, and a sweet treat, as long as supplies last.
Parents unable to attend are still available to sign up online.
After signing up, a child will receive a free book in the mail each month until their 5th birthday.
Anyone looking to sign up for the Imagination Library or donate to ensure each child receives free books each month can do so by visiting uwofsc.org.
