A teenage actor has helped Sheboyganites get free beer for a day this weekend.
Sheboygan’s own 3 Sheeps Brewing recently released a pickle pilsner named Dill-ightful Derek, a beer inspired by “Delightful” Derek Turnbow, a character from the show Stranger Things Season Five.
Along with the release, 3 Sheeps posed a challenge, stating, “If you can get Jake Connelly—the actor behind Derek—or any member of the Stranger Things cast to comment on this post, we’ll pour ‘Dill-ightful Derek’ free for a day.”
Quickly, social media followers tagged and shared the post.
Not long after, 13-year-old Connelly commented to himself, saying, “This is awesome! Free beer for a day!!!”
To honor their word, 3 Sheeps said a promise is a promise and will now fulfill their end of the bargain.
On Saturday (January 17th) 3 Sheeps will be offering free pints of Dill-ightful Derek at their taproom located at 1837 North Avenue in Sheboygan.
On the ordeal, 3 Sheeps Brewmaster and founder Grant Pauly said, “Jake came through, the fans came through, and now we get to pour free pickle beer. That’s a win for everybody.”
The free pints will start getting poured at 11:00 a.m. while supplies last.
