Bail has been set for a Manitowoc man arrested after an inappropriate interaction with a child.
32-year-old Raymond Wynne was given a $500 cash bail at his initial appearance yesterday (January 13th) by Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa.
This comes after Wynne was charged with one count of Disorderly Conduct following an incident at the Manitowoc Public Library Monday evening (January 12th).
Police were called to the library after a witness reported that a man, identified as Wynne, approached a group of children working on a school presentation.
The 32-year-old continued to ask one of the children how old they were.
Not long after, he returned and asked the victim if “they wanted to lose their virginity.”
Investigators located Wynne, who admitted to asking the victim their age, but he denied asking if they wanted to lose their virginity.
After questioning, he was arrested and transported to the Manitowoc County Jail.
Additional terms of his bail include a strict no-contact order with the victim, no contact with anyone under the age of 18, and no contact with the Manitowoc Public Library.
He will return to court tomorrow for a preliminary hearing at 10:30 a.m.
