A woman is dead after crossing a Madison street.
It happened yesterday afternoon (January 12th) while the woman was crossing Packers Avenue, and she was hit by a car heading northbound on the road.
First responders were able to start treating the woman at the scene, but she later died at the hospital.
It’s unclear if impairment was involved in the crash, although police noted the driver remained at the scene to speak with investigators.
