A deer is back on dry land after being rescued by volunteer firefighters in Belleville.
The Belleville Volunteer Fire Department posted on social media that crews were called out yesterday morning to a lake where the animal had gotten stuck.
The crews brought out a rescue trailer and were able to bring the deer to safety without struggle.
The post noted three members had just finished school drop off before being called to the scene, while another was on their way to work.
