Lakeland University is looking to grow its Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math education (STEM) programs.
The university has shared that they have hired Paul Griffin, who will serve as Lakeland’s first-ever recruitment coordinator for STEM K12.
Griffin, a well-regarded training industry professional, will look to leverage his existing community partnerships in the Sheboygan area to expand Lakeland’s reach.
Griffin has over two decades of experience in manufacturing, with previous roles in plastics, consumer goods, food, pharmaceuticals, and more.
He steps into the role from MilliporeSigma, most recently, but has also worked at other major manufacturers in the area, including Johnsonville Sausage, Alcami Corporation, and Rockline Industries.
Griffin has been on the Lakeland Board of Trustees since 2024, but will leave that role in order to join the university’s staff.
On his hiring, Lakeland President Beth Borgen said, “Paul’s thoughtful approach and passion for hands-on learning will be a huge asset to Lakeland as we position ourselves to grow enrollment in STEM programs.”
