A small group of people in Manitowoc voiced their opinions on the recent unrest in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Members of Progressive Lakeshore People and the Manitowoc County Democratic Party stood at the corner of Calumet Avenue and Crawford Boulevard on Thursday (January 8th) showing their disdain for actions they say were perpetrated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, in the shooting death of 37-year-old Renee Good.
One of Progressive Lakeshore People’s Founders, Jill Iverson, didn’t want to go on tape but did tell Seehafernews.com that yesterday there was a group of peaceful but angry people.
She, along with other protesters, were emotional about the death of Good, saying that it was a homicide and that ICE needs to be abolished.
While the group and Democrats have blamed ICE, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Vice President JD Vance have backed the federal agency, calling the incident in Minneapolis “an act of domestic terrorism.”
The FBI will investigate the shooting of the 37-year-old mother after Minnesota’s state investigation bureau was denied access to evidence in the case.
