A Manitowoc man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman multiple times.
Manitowoc Police responded to a report of a sexual assault at 4:00 Thursday evening (January 8th), where the victim reported that a 41-year-old man had forced them to perform “sexual activities.”
The victim, determined to have been a female through a witness statement, was located at a male friend’s home, who told investigators that she had come to their home crying.
The man relayed to police what the woman claimed happened, which included the male suspect holding her face down and threatening to hit her if she did not comply.
The victim then told police, “If you guys let him loose, he’s going to kill me.”
She also described an incident from the night prior where the suspect again forced himself on the victim and struck her multiple times.
The officers spoke with the suspect, who admitted to drinking, but claimed he had no idea why they were there.
He told investigators that he “would never harm” the victim, before being placed under arrest on three counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault, two counts of Disorderly Conduct, and one count of Simple Battery, each with domestic violence enhancers.
