The two men charged in a kidnapping case in Manitowoc County are still seeking lawyers.
22-year-old Alexcer Solis Gomez and 33-year-old Pedro Giron Perez were in court yesterday (January 8th) for a preliminary hearing, but it was postponed yet again as neither man has legal representation.
The State Public Defender’s Office has been tasked with finding attorneys for both men, and to date, has yet to do so.
Solis Gomez and Giron Perez have each been charged with Abduction of a Child after a 16-year-old Manitowoc girl was reported missing.
The men allegedly picked her up from a home in Two Rivers, claiming they were paid to take her to California.
They were later caught in Wyoming and brought back to Manitowoc County.
Both men are now set to return for the third attempt at their preliminary hearings on January 22nd.
