Madison is making progress toward its goal of adding more affordable housing in the city.
A new report shows the city completed more than 2,300 homes last year, with 17 percent of those falling below affordable market rates.
Officials also noted another 53-hundred homes are currently under construction.
This is after Madison made a goal last January to add 15,000 homes by 2030.
Officials with the city believe the early progress is encouraging and show housing initiatives are moving in the right direction.
