The fire that destroyed a historic supper club in Edgerton appears to have started in the kitchen.
That’s what a preliminary investigation from authorities showed after the Wisconsin State Fire Marshal’s Office showed up to the Lake House Inn Monday morning.
The blaze started Sunday night and was eventually upgraded to a three-alarm fire, taking firefighters hours to get full control of the flames early the next morning.
Smoke was reported to the fire department about two-and-a-half hours after the last person inside left the building.
