
Event organizers in the City of Manitowoc have the opportunity to receive grant funding for marketing strategies.
Applications are now open for the 2026 Discover Manitowoc Grant, an annual program supported by room tax dollars that is overseen by the Department of Tourism, City of Manitowoc Room Tax Commission, and Visit Manitowoc Board.
Each year, this grant provides financial assistance to bring new events into the community and more visitors to Manitowoc for overnight stays.
Organizers who are hoping to hold events with overnight visitors seeking additional marketing funding are encouraged to apply.
Previous successful events held in the city awarded money through the Discover Manitowoc Grant include the U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championships, Subfest, the Wisconsin Sand Sculpting Festival, and many more.
As funds are limited, applications submitted will be reviewed and awarded by the Visit Manitowoc Board and the City of Manitowoc Room Tax Commission, with a three-year funding limit.
