The City of Two Rivers is collecting Christmas trees this week.
The free tree collection begins today (January 5th) and continues through this Friday (January 9th).
The used trees must be placed at the curbside and will be picked up on the same day as trash and recycling.
They can also be taken to the city’s Public Works Garage at 1415 Lake Street between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
As a reminder, plastic tree bags must be removed, and all trees must be free of tinsel and decorations.
Contaminated trees, including flocked trees, will not be picked up free of charge or accepted at the Garage.
The Christmas trees are also not allowed to be placed at a curbside before 6:00 p.m. on the day before garbage collection.
Two Rivers’ residents who aren’t able to put their used Christmas tree outside can bring it to the Manitowoc County Recycling Center on Basswood Road from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
