
A non-conference meeting between Valders and Sheboygan North in Sheboygan highlights the Friday local girls’ basketball schedule.
The Vikings are 9-3 at the halfway point of their schedule and are coming off a split of a pair of games at the Plymouth holiday tournament earlier this week.
Seniors Megan Hochkammer and Zoey Siders lead the way for Valders, with Hochkammer averaging better than 17 points per game while shooting better than 50 percent from the floor.
Siders scores nearly 15 points per game while shooting a robust 47 percent from three-point range.
Sheboygan North is 6 and 3 on the season, having started the season with four straight victories, but has lost three of their last five, with one of those being to Manitowoc Lincoln on December 11th.
The Golden Raiders haven’t played Sheboygan South on December 20th.
Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. Manitowoc Lincoln returns to action for the first time since December 19th as the travel to Green Bay to battle Green Bay Preble in FRCC action.
The Ships are even-steven through eight games at 4-4 overall, while the Hornets are 5-4 on the season.
Other girls’ games have West De Pere traveling to De Pere, Pulaski hosts Bay Port, Luxemburg-Casco entertains Kewaunee, Green Bay East heads to Appleton to battle Xavier, Freedom is home for Wrightstown, and Fox Valley Lutheran has a short bus ride to Menasha to battle the Bluejays.
