The City of Two Rivers is excited to have seen a rise in building activity in 2025.
In the latest Cool City Connect, the city explains that a year-end review of construction activity shows building permits increased 37% from 2024, with more than 1,300 issued in 2025.
City staff explain that the rise in permit activity is a strong indicator of local confidence and growth, while underscoring the importance of ensuring development is reviewed efficiently, safely, and consistently.
The Two Rivers City Council has recently updated its building permit fee schedule and invested in a full-time building inspector to ensure permit reviews remain timely, inspections are conducted promptly, and construction meets applicable safety standards.
Construction around the Cool City includes everything from home improvements to brand new businesses and the reconstruction of former buildings.
