A Sheboygan man facing possession of child pornography charges in Manitowoc will get a preliminary hearing.
Court records show that 19-year-old Kashaun Oliver was back in Manitowoc County court for his initial appearance.
Oliver decided to waive the reading of the criminal complaint and demanded a preliminary hearing.
Judge Robert Dewane scheduled it for January 8th.
Manitowoc Police received a tip from the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation in Madison showing an IP address in Manitowoc was associated with the viewing of illicit videos.
Manitowoc detectives contacted the 19-year-old suspect at a home in the 600 block of North 6th Street.
Officers say Oliver confirmed that the Dropbox account with the child sexual abuse material was his and said he was trying to send the videos to another account.
He faces two charges of possession of child pornography.
