
It was another busy day at Two Rivers High School yesterday for day two of the Girls Basketball Holiday Tournament.
In game 1, Mishicot earned its third win in a row, taking down Roncalli 66-48.
Mishicot Sophomore Brooklyn Paider led all scorers while setting a new career best with 20 points, while teammates Kensington Rosenow had 17 points, and Anna Cicsler tacked on 16, 14 of which came in the first half.
Aubri Riesterer led the attack for the Jets, scoring 10 points as Roncalli continues to seek its elusive first win of the season.
They will get another chance on Saturday, when they host Sheboygan Lutheran at the Hangar.
The Indians, meanwhile, improve to 5-6 after a rough start, and will try to make it four in a row when they host Hilbert on January 6th.
In game two of the tournament, Sheboygan Christian took down the host Raiders 74-58 thanks to a huge game from Samantha Veldkamp.
The 6’ 1” junior netted 32 points to lead all scorers. Two Rivers Sophomore Izzy Bateman was the Raiders’ leading scorer with 18 points on the night.
Two Rivers is now 4-7 on the season after a promising start, but has since lost each of their last four games.
They will try to end the skid when they travel to Algoma on Monday.
