A Green Bay man has been arrested after allegedly driving into a pedestrian on a downtown sidewalk.
21-year-old Noah Edwin Orwyn Higgins is facing ten charges, including Hit and Run Involving Great Bodily Harm, 2nd Degree Reckless Injury, Reckless Driving Causing Great Bodily Harm, Knowingly Operating While Suspended, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, two counts of Felony Bail Jumping, and three counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
WBAY reports that the charges stem from a December 20th incident near the intersection of Broadway and West Walnut Street.
Security camera footage allegedly shows Higgins driving up onto the sidewalk and hitting an elderly man, causing him to be launched into the air.
The victim suffered numerous serious, life-altering injuries, including broken bones, spinal injuries, and a head wound that required staples.
The driver then fled the scene, while two passengers remained at the scene.
Higgins was identified as the driver and was arrested on December 23rd.
His first day in court was yesterday (December 30th), however, as of this morning, his bond has yet to be posted on his online court record.
