Night one of the Two Rivers holiday tournament tipped off last night (December 29th), featuring Roncalli taking on Sheboygan Christian, followed by the Raiders battling Mishicot in high school girls hoops.
In game one, the Jets came out flat and would ultimately fall to the Indians 69-45.
Despite a game-high 23 points from senior Madison Keller, Roncalli dug itself too big a hole to get out of in that first half.
However, they turned things around in the second period, outscoring the Eagles 29-27 in the second half.
Game two pitted the Two Rivers Girls against Mishicot, who would beat the hosts handily by a score of 48-31.
The game was close at halftime with Two Rivers trailing by just six, but Kensington Rosenow, Mishicot’s leading scorer coming into the game, scored 14 in the second to take the win in night one of the holiday tournament.
With the win, Mishicot moves to 4-6 on the year, while Two Rivers falls to 4-6.
Roncalli, sitting at 0-8 after the loss, is still searching for win number one while Christian improves to 5-4.
All four teams will be back in action tonight to close out night two of the Two Rivers Holiday Tournament.
