An Oshkosh man is facing charges after leaving a teenager severely injured in a hit-and-run.
32-year-old Victor Langemak was given a $5,000 cash bond on Friday on a charge of Hit and Run Causing Great Bodily Harm in connection to the incident on December 12th.
Langemak was said to be behind the wheel of the truck that struck 18-year-old Kaylee Jackson at the intersection of Bowen Street and Merrit Avenue.
Jackson suffered severe injuries, including five broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and a broken leg.
Surveillance footage allowed the police to track the vehicle and arrest Langemak as he had fled the scene. He is due back in Winnebago County Court today for his preliminary hearing in front of Judge Eric Heywood.
Jackson’s family has reported that she has been doing well in physical therapy and should be able to go home soon.
