A Marathon woman is facing charges after a pursuit in Fond du Lac County.
NBC26 reports that the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Johnson Street near Hickory Street on Sunday (December 28th) just after 9:30 p.m.
The deputy asked the driver to exit the vehicle, but the 37-year-old suspect fled instead, starting the pursuit.
The sheriff’s office says the woman reached speeds of 70 mph and allegedly threw something out of the car during the pursuit.
She eventually stopped west of Seymour Street and was taken into custody.
Two dogs ended up running out of the vehicle during the 37-year-old’s arrest.
One was caught, but the other is still missing.
Sheriff’s deputies say they found contraband near where the vehicle traveled and charged the suspect with felony fleeing and eluding, obstruction, possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor bail jumping.
