A man was arrested at a Manitowoc health care facility after causing a drunken scene.
Manitowoc Police were called to Rivers Bend Health Services at 5:15 Saturday evening on a report of a man who was calling for help while possibly intoxicated.
Officers located the man inside of a truck, sipping from a bottle of whiskey.
When they knocked on the window, the man hid the bottle and denied yelling out for help.
When asked about his level of intoxication, the 71-year-old man initially denied he had been drinking, but eventually admitted he had been.
The man refused to take a field sobriety test and resisted officers as they attempted to take him into custody.
During the arrest, the man was taken to the ground as he continued to resist, but he was eventually placed in the squad car, and continued to threaten to beat up the officers.
The man was taken to a local hospital for an evidentiary blood draw before being booked into the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, and Threatening to Cause Bodily Harm.
