Students and staff in the Plymouth School District have shown their generosity during the holiday season.
In an effort to highlight their generous actions within the community, the district has shared how those involved have gotten into the giving spirit.
At Plymouth High School, the National Honor Society partnered with the FFA to host a holiday food drive between December 8th and December 16th.
The two groups were able to raise $1,400 and 1,700 food items that were distributed to the Plymouth Food Pantry.
Peers for Peers stepped up to donate over 125 new and gently used blankets for the Blankets of Love Drive, while the FFA also handmade tie blankets, which were donated to the Ronald McDonald House.
Other initiatives from middle and elementary schools in the Plymouth School District included donations of 75 crates of food from Riverview Middle School to the Food Pantry, nearly 700 stuffed animals to the Snuggle Squad Drive at Horizon Elementary, and much more.
