A former Middleton police officer is accused of committing sex crimes against a child.
A federal grand jury has indicted 26-year-old Myles Schumaker on a count related to coercing or enticing a minor for unlawful sexual activity.
The alleged crime happened in early November of this year, according to investigators.
Schumaker was a patrol officer in Middleton at that time.
