A local organization has gotten into the holiday giving spirit.
Manitowoc Elks Lodge #687 recently made several donations, including $50 gift cards for the Milo Huempfner VA Clinic in Green Bay and the VA Clinic in Cleveland.
Lodge Exalted Ruler Tim Ahrens tells us this donation was made possible by the Elks National Foundation, in partnership with the Manitowoc Elks Lodge Fidelity Club.
Additionally, thanks to another successful Elktoberfest, Lodge #687 was able to donate $1500 to The Haven Men’s Homeless Shelter and another $500 to the Hope House, both of which are located in Manitowoc.
Ahrens noted that these gifts are important because “This time of year is tough for many families and our veterans.”
Two more donations are expected before the year comes to an end.
