The Denmark Fire Department is raising money to get a new message board.
It’s part of their 2026 Raffle and Booyah Event, set for Sunday, March 15th.
Prizes for this year’s raffle have increased: 1st place is $1,250, 2nd place is $750, $500 goes to the third-place winner, and fourth place gets $250.
Tickets are available at $5 each or 3 for $10.
Denmark residents can stop by the fire station on the 2nd or 3rd Monday night in January and February during training sessions to get tickets, or contact the fire department directly at 920-863-8466.
The message board will be placed on one of their fire trucks, which can help assist with “blocking” at traffic crashes on busy roadways.
Firefighter Thad Tremble explains that, unfortunately, many firefighters and other emergency responders are injured or killed every year while working at roadway incidents due to distracted driving.
