ThedaCare has released its top baby names for 2025.
Parents welcoming baby girls into the world were very fond of the name Charlotte, as for the second year in a row, that name earned the top spot.
There was a tie for second place between Emma, Harper, Josie, and Sofia, while Scarlet and its variety of spellings were number 3.
Grace and Hazel tied for the fourth most popular girl name in 2025, while Eleanor, Nora, and Olivia tied for fifth.
As for the boys, last year’s runner-up was the top dog this year.
More parents chose the name Theo or Theodore over any other at ThedaCare hospitals, followed by Henry.
Third place was a tie between Charles/Charlie and Waylon. Fourth place went to Liam or William, and Oliver rounded out the top five.
A number of other baby names recorded at ThedaCare’s hospitals had strong showings on the favorites list, including Cooper, Elijah, Jack, Jackson, and Noah for boys and Isla, Lainey, Stella, Violet/Violette, and Vivian for girls.
Across the country, Olivia and Noah have a firm hold on their No. 1 titles as the top girl and boy names among parents, according to BabyCenter.
