The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Winter Weather Advisory effective from 6 p.m. this evening through 6 a.m. Friday morning for all of northeastern Wisconsin.
A flash freeze is expected due to cold temperatures, which cause roads to freeze rapidly—plan for treacherous roads with black ice.
Also, light snow is expected, with up to one inch of accumulation possible by Friday morning.
If you must travel, slow down and use extreme caution.
Meanwhile, high temperatures are expected to reach only into the lower twenties on Friday, and with winds gusting to near thirty miles per hour, wind chill indices will be in the single digits above zero.
