Kids from around southwestern Manitowoc County had a shopping day to remember.
The Kiel Police Department had 20 kids participate in the 19th Annual “Shop with a Cop” event at the Walmart in Chilton.
After getting the presents they wanted, the kids were taken to the Altona Supper Club for more fun, including lunch and a special visit from Santa, who brought more gifts.
Kiel Police explain that the event takes a lot of time to prepare, and without the dedicated team working to make it a success, it would never happen.
The department also gave a special shoutout to the New Holstein, Brillion, and Chilton Police Departments, as well as the Wisconsin State Patrol and Wisconsin DNR, for their help in making some kids’ wishes come true.
Kiel Police also thanked the community for supporting this year’s “Shop with a Cop,” as without donations, presents couldn’t be bought.
