A Milwaukee County judge is testifying in the trial of her colleague, Hannah Dugan.
Judge Dugan’s trial began this week as she is accused of obstructing immigration agents who were attempting to arrest a man in her courtroom back in April.
Judge Kristela Cervera took the stand in court yesterday, where she was directed by Dugan to confront federal agents with her.
She described being “shocked” when she found Dugan was being investigated for the alleged incident, adding a judge shouldn’t be “helping defendants evade arrest.”
The trial will continue this morning.
