
It will be a busy night of local high school sports.
Girls Basketball
There are not one, but two high schools that sport the nickname Vikings that look to improve their records to 8-0 tonight.
Valders is home for the Kiel Raiders, while Denmark heads to Little Chute for a Northeast Conference road game against the Mustangs. Valders defeated Menasha and Roncalli last week, while Denmark rolled Oconto Falls and Coleman to remain undefeated.
Brillion looks to go to 7-3 as they host Roncalli. The Jets are a young team trying to pick up their first win of the season, while the Loins have very talented players led by senior Amaya Brroks and junior Emma Schuh. Coverage on 980 WCUB and CubRadio.com begins at 7:00 p.m.
Manitowoc Lincoln is in search of their third consecutive victory as they host Ashwaubenon in FRCC play at the JFK. The Ships won two out of three last week, posting victories over Sheboygan North and DC Everest. Tonight’s contest will be aired on 1240 WOMT and WOMTRadio.com, also at 7:00 p.m.
Elsewhere, Two Rivers looks for a third straight win as they head to Chilton to battle the Tigers, Mishicot hosts Sheboygan South, Reedsville heads down to Campbellsport, and Sheboygan North hosts De Pere.
Also, West De Pere visits Notre Dame, Pulaski is at Green Bay Preble, Green Bay East travels to Menasha, Kewaunee entertains Peshtigo, Algoma hosts Southern Door, Oconto is on the road for Green Bay NEW Lutheran, Providence Academy visits Sturgeon Bay, Gibraltar hosts Sevastopol, Marinette is at Luxemburg-Casco, and Wrightstown travels to Oconto Falls to battle the Panthers.
Boys Basketball
Manitowoc Lincoln looks to get back on the winning track tonight when they head up I-43 to battle the Ashwaubenon Jaguars in FRCC play. The Ships lost their conference opener at Sheboygan North Friday night and come into tonight’s contest with a record of 2 and 2.
Elsewhere, Manitowoc Lutheran looks for a second straight win as they host a very good Howards Grove team, Two Rivers plays its third game in five nights as they host Gibraltar, Mishicot hits the road to play St. Mary Catholic, and Reedsville has a non-conference home game with New Holstein.
Also, Brillion has a long bus ride to Mosinee, Sheboygan Lutheran plays at Sheboygan Christian, De Pere hosts Sheboygan North, Kohler visits Sheboygan South, Denmark hosts Little Chute, Elkhart Lake/ Glenbeulah hosts Hilbert, Cedar Grove/ Belgium travels to Random Lake, Oostburg is at Ozaukee, Menasha visits Green Bay East, Green Bay Southwest is at Bay Port, Pulaski entertains Green Bay Preble, West De Pere is home for Notre Dame, Oconto Falls travels to Wrightstown and Oconto hosts the Coleman Cougars.
Hockey
There are also two high school hockey games on the schedule.
Manitowoc United travels to Beaver Dam in search of its first win, while, in girls’ hockey, Valders/Fond Du Lac entertains Bay Area at the Blue Line Ice Center in Sheboygan.
