The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is installing wrong-way detection systems at six locations in Milwaukee.
The systems aim to prevent deadly crashes using radar, cameras, and flashing overhead lights to alert drivers and notify law enforcement.
This expansion follows recent incidents, including a crash on the High Rise Bridge last month that killed a woman’s unborn child.
Milwaukee will have 26 locations equipped with wrong-way detection technology once installation is finished.
